Interconnected Smart Cities for Greece 2.0
What are INTERCONNECTED SMART CITIES?
Description
“Interconnected Smart Cities for Greece 2.0” is a visionary project aimed at creating a Smart City platform that stands out from the rest by offering a comprehensive analysis of the current infrastructure of cities in Greece. Through the flagship action “Flagship Actions in Interdisciplinary Scientific Areas with a Special Focus on Connecting to the Productive Sector,” it aims to integrate the respective vertical implementations and their existing models.
The technological outcomes of the project include:
· In the development of new IoT applications aimed at creating a Smart City.
· The integration and consolidation of services, systems, and data, without requiring knowledge of the technical and operational characteristics of each specific vertical implementation.
· The ability to collect, utilize, and process large amounts of data from multiple sources; the ability to apply existing analytical models to larger data sets; and the development of new services and applications based on the new findings.
· Free interoperability for businesses across Greece to provide innovative IoT solutions nationwide.
· The accelerating pace of developments in the field and a shift in how such applications are built.
· Making more results available to the scientific community to facilitate further industrial development and the creation of new products and services.
The project will last 28 months (starting May 15, 2023, and ending September 14, 2025).
